Non-local bias and the problem of large-scale power in the Standard Cold Dark Matter model

چکیده
We study the effect of non-radial motions, originating from the gravitational interaction of the quadrupole moment of a protogalaxy with the tidal field of the matter of the neighboring protostructures, on the angular correlation function of galaxies. We calculate the angular correlation function using a Standard Cold Dark Matter (hereafter SCDM) model (Ω = 1, h=0.5, n = 1) and we compare it with the angular correlation function of the APM galaxy survey (Maddox et al. 1990; Maddox et al. 1996). We find that taking account of non-radial motions in the calculation of the angular correlation function gives a better agreement of the theoretical prediction of the SCDM model to the observed estimates of large-scale power in the galaxy distribution.

The Three-point Function as a Probe of Models for Large-scale Structure
We analyze the consequences of models of structure formation for higher-order (n-point) galaxy correlation functions in the mildly non-linear regime. Several variations of the standard Ω = 1 cold dark matter model with scale-invariant primordial perturbations have recently been introduced to obtain more power on large scales, Rp ∼ 20 h −1 Mpc, e.g., low-matter-density (non-zero cosmological con...
متن کاملSinglet scalar dark matter in noncommutative space
In this paper, we examine the singlet scalar dark matter annihilation to becoming the Standard Model particles in the non-commutative space. In the recent decades, many candidates of dark matter have been offered, but our information about the nature of dark matter is still limited. There are such particle candidates as scalar matetr, fermion, boson, gauge boson, etc.; however, they have nei...
متن کاملLarge - and Small - Scale Constraints on Power Spectra in Ω = 1 Universes
The cold dark matter (CDM) model of structure formation, normalized on large scales, leads to excessive pairwise velocity dispersions on small scales. In an attempt to circumvent this problem, we study three scenarios (all with Ω = 1) which have more large-scale power and less small-scale power than the CDM model: 1) an admixture of cold and hot dark matter; 2) cold dark matter with a non-scale...
متن کاملFormation of Large Structures in the Acceleration Universe with a Hybrid Expansion Law
In the current paper, we have studied the effect of dark energy on for-mation where dark energy exists in the background. For this purpose, we used both WMAP9 and Planck data to study how the radius changes with redshift in these mod-els. We used different data sets to fix the cosmological parameters to obtain a solution for a spherical region under collapse. The mechanism of structure formation f...
متن کاملVelocity fields in non–Gaussian cold dark matter models
We analyse the large–scale velocity field obtained by N–body simulations of cold dark matter (CDM) models with non–Gaussian primordial density fluctuations, considering models with both positive and negative primordial skewness in the density fluctuation distribution. We study the velocity probability distribution and calculate the dependence of the bulk flow, one–point velocity dispersion and ...
